Joaquin is having dinner with Carmen’s family. Dennis Padilla mentions he stopped going to work, but he answers that he will be returning because Carmen convinced him to. Junior takes his turn to ask if it was true that his mother quit work from Papa Toms. She tells her son the truth. Joaquin takes the opportunity and tells Junior he will help her look for a job. But Carmen gives him the cold shoulder and coldly tells him there’s no need to since she can do it alone.

Take that Joaquin!

Glen is talking with her supervisors. They ask her if she wants to continue her training, let alone leave service. Her supervisor doesn’t forget to insert that it’s her duty to serve. Glen buts in and adds “Like being lost from her family?”. Her supervisor tells her they don’t want to lose Glen in service, but ultimately tells her that she alone, know’s what’s best for her.

In a dark room brightly lit with orange lights, Cardo, Delfin and Trina are interrogating the hired assassin. Poor guy. Cardo demands who hired him to go after them. Without dilly dally, he confesses Mike sent him. Trina is shocked and tears start pouring from her (of course, it’s always one eye). Cardo orders the assassin to call Mike and lie that he caught Trina. He also orders the assassin to tell Mike that Cardo was killed. The assassin doesn’t utter a word, until Cardo shouts at him. 

“Nagkakaintindihan ba tayo?!”

Cardo tosses his cellphone and orders him to call Mike. He instructs the phone set to loudspeaker mode so that everyone can hear the conversation. The assassin calls mike and as expected, Mike asks about Cardo and Trina. Mike questions the assassin why he left Trina alive. The assassin stammers and Mike screams with all his might, “why should I finish your job, just like how I killed Marcella?!”

Trina is aghast after hearing the the truth. Tears continue to spill from her eyes and she goes into ala Beast Mode! She throws punches at him and cries what they did to her mom. Poor guy tells her the truth- Mike killed her. Unable to bear the enormity of the truth, she cries harder in Cardo’s arms.

Carmen escorts Joaquin outside and tells him to return home safely. As Carmen closes the gate between them, Joaquin throws his punchline: “I love you.” Carmen simply nods to his words of affection. She finally closes the gate and leaves. Joaquin’s phone rings and he answers. He tells Dino he’s going (to where? To CIDG, duh.)

Back to the Guzman household, Nora and Edgar are having a talk with Carmen. They are concerned because they are acquainted how she makes decision when it comes to love. With Ador, it was careless hurried. Edgar asks the question CarCar fans hate: Does she love Joaquin? But Carmen chooses to play it safe. She knows it is enough that Joaquin loves her.

On the other side, Trina is telling Cardo she can’t believe she blamed herself for her mom’s death. Cardo vows to her Mike will pay. Trina adds she can’t believe she allowed mike to ruin her mom’s legacy. Cardo promises he won’t let her down.

Mike’s Goon (who always asks him questions) asks Trina was able to escape the assassin. Mike disagrees and feels something bad has happened.  

Inside the CIDG’s Board Room, Cardo reveals to the team that Mike had double-crossed the Black Scorpion Group. After Mike sold the guns, he had them ambushed to regain it. This ambush led to the death of Homer’s brother. Trina’s abduction is not a simple case of kidnap for ransom, but for revenge.

Camera switch to Mike, he orders his men to dispose the guns.

Scene switch to the boardroom: Cardo urges the team to act in haste and find Mike unless he discovers the CIDG has his goon. Joaquin makes his grand entrance and Art welcomes him to seat down. Joaqs glances at Cardo.

Carmen is folding her clothes on the bed when her phone rings. Billy calls to tell her he can’t go home because they have a mission. He mentions Joaquin is with him and asks if she wants to talk to him. Joaquin’s head snaps and stares at Billy. Carmen is frozen for a second, but answers no. She wishes him well and ends the conversation. Joaquin asks what Carmen told Billy. Billy tells him she wishes them well.

Joaquin grabs him gun and stands up, having another internal monologue. Carmen had allowed him to love her, and he won’t stand idly and do nothing about it. Joaquin promises himself he will do something to earn her love.

The police are infiltrating the warehouse where Mike is. Why is Joaquin not wearing any protective gear? Isn’t this dangerous, Dreamscape?

.Mike’s goons alert him that the police have entered the warehouse.

Gunshots are fired. Gunshots galore! Rattatatatatat! Shots are fired but I don’t see blood spilling, oh wait. There’s fake CG blood. That counts as blood, right?

After a game of hide and seek, and Cardo’s jump shots, Mike finally spots him and retreats.

Mike hops into his car and drives away to escape. Cardo realizes he has run out of ammo and decides to run after his car! I don’t know how he managed to do it, but Cardo jumps on top of Mike’s car! Parang palaka lang! Mike swerves his car, trying to lodge Cardo off. He pulls his gun and starts to shoot the roof of his car. But Cardo has a lot of luck! He dodges the shots as Mike swerves the car (how unrealistic can this be? Sige lang. Gorabels)

Mike finally succeeds when Cardo falls after a rough swerve. He grabs his gun and leaves his car to check for him. Cardo is nowhere in sight! Mike hops inside his car and drives away… only to be cornered by police cars. Mike decides to flee to a police-free street, but dumdum! Cardo is there and standing strong! Cardo is there wearing his angas look!

We have a standoff, ladies and gentlemen! What will Mike do? He decides to pull a Marcella and steps on the accelerator. The two men fire gunshots at one another, until one of Cardo’s bullet hit Mike. Cardo comes closer to see how Mike is doing, but Mike isn’t ready to give up without a fight. Cardo does a parkour roll and shoots Mike at his right pectoralis!

The next day, Carme is placing the plates on their table. Nora scolds Billy and tells him to go back to sleep. Billy tells them he woke up because he was hungry. He adds his wound isn’t as grave as it looks. Edgar jokes that his wound is near his heart. I can’t recall if it was Norma or Edgar who mentioned that Billy was lucky because of Joaquin. Not only did Joaquin save Billy, but he also saved Cardo. Norma (I’m definitely sure) tells the family they owe Joaquin everything. (How can you say this, after all Cardo did last New Year’s Even when Polo Ravales threatened to burn your house and rape Carmen?)

But dear sweet Carmen looks sad. (Ayos din ang make up ni Carmen dito. Malungkot. O iba lang ang hati ng buhok niya.)

Glen finally graduates from her training. The announcer tells everyone they are now proficient in handling evidences. He hopes they will use what they learned and help those committed with injustice. Glen is given a medal of “Kagalingan” (sorry, couldn’t catch up. But it looks like Glen’s efforts are highly appreciated! I have a feeling Glen will be the one who will discover Joaquin killed Ador.)

Glen’s superior congratulates her and hopes she won’t quit. He doesn’t want her to waste everything she has been through. Glen replies she’s thinking on what her decision will be. He wishes her good luck. Glen is still looking indecisive and clutches the medal on her chest.

Trina visits Mike in Jail. She is denial on he could do this to her (maybe the way he killed her mom and lied to her? Or how he used her business to smuggle guns?) She agrees when Mike tells her he should have died. He should have died instead of her mom, but she angrily believes because Mike’s alive, he has a chance to atone his mistakes. Mike is sorry, but Trina tells him right to the face she would be lying if she could forgive him.

Billy and family are in the living room. Billy jokes that he doesn’t need to go to the hospital because Carmen is there to take care of him for free. Someone knocks on the door and it’s.. Joaquin!

Joaquin  asks how Billy is doing and gives gifts to the family. Edgar thanks him and expresses gratitude (actually, he said “utang na loob). Norma chimes in and thanks him for saving Billy. Joaquin tells them it was nothing. Carmen still looks unhappy and unconvinced.

Outside, Carmen  thanks Joaquin and asks when he will return home. Joaquin answer he will only return when she is with him. Carmen presents the reality to him that his family does not like her for him. Ever determined Joaquin tells her he will do a way to make them accept her.

Unknown to them,  a wild pokemon Junior peeks out to observe the two. Junior looks happy! (because bagay si Nanay at si Kuya Cardo!)

Joaquin pops the question if she is ready to accept him. Carmen just smiles at him. (Carmen, was this a yes, are you saying yes to your husband’s killer?!) Joaquin just smiles and stands up to hug her. Junior disrupts their Joaquin’s moment and asks if he loves her mom. Joaquin says he loves him and his mom. Junior frowns and hugs Carmen. Carmen and her silent tears. (Mabuti pa si Junior. Alam niya na hindi kayo bagay).

Trina offers flowers to an altar, looking better compared to the past few days. She visits Lola Kap and everyone greets her. Trina thanks them and informs everyone that she will be going to America. Trina explains she sees it is the best way to rest and to learn to forgive. Lola Kap encourages her since it is for her own peace of mind.

She asks where Cardo is, and everyone calls him to see Trina.

Trina expresses her gratitude for everything he has done to her, but Cards downplays it and tell her he was just doing his duty. If ever Trina needs his help, she knows where to find him. (Cute mo Coco!). Trina promises she will return.

“para kay chief?”- Benny adds after Trina’s remark she will return.

Trina laughs and tells him she will return for Onyok. They then bring a very sad Onyok to her. She tells the kid she will miss him, and Onyok responds in English: “Are you sure?” ( cuuuute!)

Trina promises to send his gifts, but Onyok doesn’t want her to go. He wishes for her immediate return because he will miss her. She gives another round of “thank you”, “see you again” and “I will miss you”, but for Cardo.. she looks directly at him and tells him she will miss him. Trina walks forward to hug her, but Onyok stands in between the two of them. Cardo laughs at the kid and tells Trina he will miss her too. Mr. Officer and Ms. Trina finally give each other one last hug as there theme song “Oh Babe” plays in the background.

Onyok gives Cardo “My eyes are on you” look, much to his amusement.

At night time, Onyok is lying on his bed and ignores Cardo. But Cardo lies beside him and tells the kid “Nami-miss mo na kahit kakaalis niya lang kanina?”

Cardo then advises the kid that admiration is different from love. Love comes when you are at the right age. What Onyok feels for Trina isn’t love, but admiration. He assures the kid he won’t steal Trina from him, because he knows she is for Onyok.

“Habang bat aka pa, si Kuya Cardo lang ang mahal mo ha”

Onyok snuggles beside a smiling Cardo, and the camera goes further away from them.

Abangan: Looks like Cardo’s next enemies will be a child-kidnapping group. CarGlen fans will definitely have a good time since Glen appears to be heavily involved in this storyline.

Sad news for CarCar fans... puro Joaquin x Carmen lang ang ipinapakita. Pero okay lang. Keep the faith. This is part of DreamscapePH's bigger plan. The higher you go, the harder you fall. 

and you will fall, Joaquin! You will fall hard and flat on your face!

Kahit CarCar fan ako, I will try not to be biased and against CarGlen in this recap. Baka kasi may pro-CarGlen na magbabasa nito.
